Amma’s Shiva Attar Story: The new intriguing Amma’s Shiva Attar was created by our Master Perfumer Roddajun Singtoh Dogon of Byron Bay, Australia, and took three decades to perfect. After many years in the creation processes, this Mystical Attar Perfume is now being dedicated with love and grace to Amma. This fragrance honors all the most divine aspects of Lord Shiva, who is deeply sacred to Amma and Amma’s Devotees. Amma’s Shiva Attar is the second wondrous natural fragrance in the Amma’s Attars Divine Hindu series, representing the Supreme Hindu Goddesses & Gods. This Attar is a limited edition, each bottle carrying rare and sacred ritual ingredients from South India up to the Himalayas. Amma’s Shiva Attar Fragrance Profile: On first applying this Regal Shiva Attar, a sweet aromatic burst of a honey spiced nectar will engulf the senses. As these prominent aromas continue their fragrant journey, traces of crisp, fresh Himalayan snowy mountain cedar and cypress will be detected in this sacred Attar. These fresh forest fragrances will then intermingle with mellow hints of tropical South Indian temple flowers. The vast olfactory experiences this Attar’s intricate perfume will travel through will be enchanting while gently meditative, leaving a slightly spicy, woody, but earthy and calming, sweetish musk-like fragrance on the skin, as it penetrates all the senses.

Amma’s Shiva Attar Spiritual Journey: The heavenly Attar ingredients used in this sacred fragrance were carefully chosen because of their representation in Shaivism ceremonies and worship. Their essence of sacred wood, flowers, and spices have been used since ancient times for dedicated pujas & darshan rituals to the most Supreme Adiyogi Lord Shiva. Due to this Attars natural alchemical curing process, each bottle may have a slight variation of fragrance and/or colour. The wonderful thing about this Shiva Attar is the beautiful natural colour of the oil: a deep Himalayan Blue Teal, which also represents the 4th and 5th chakras. This colour is associated with unconditional love, spiritual tranquility, inner calmness, transformation, and divine communication - all the qualities and aspects of Lord Shiva. This Attar will aid in meditation, dispel negativity, and help to create balance. These sacred essences emanate Amma’s & Shiva’s most divine presence and greatest love.

What is an Attar Perfume? Attars are complex, highly concentrated 100% Natural Perfume Oil Fragrances made since ancient times, originally from the Indian and Middle Eastern subcontinents. They consist of premium absolutes and essential oils and are free of alcohol and synthetic chemicals found in commercial fragrances. Attars are known as very luxurious high-end perfumes, they often come in beautifully decorative tiny little bottles. Attars are usually more expensive than mass-produced perfumes due to the highest quality ingredients, and the intensive labour and skill involved in their creation. An Attar may deepen its fragrance with age. 

How to use an Amma’s Attar? First, gently dab on the clean dry skin away from the eyes, never rub oiled skin together as it bruises the Attars fragrance. Let the oil rest on the skin so the fragrance takes hold, this helps with the aromas process to its intended scent. For the best complete aromatic experience, apply the Attar oil to the skin creating three horizontal lines gently in a row. Very similar to Shiva’s Devotees applying their Tripundra on the skin, this helps to get all aspects of the natural Attars fragrance. To speed up the Attars oil drying time, very gently with a finger rub oil in a circular motion a few times. Attars often leave hints of oil residue on the skin. 

Care - Safety & Storage: Please do not use if pregnant or lactating. Test on the skin first if there is a sensitivity concern. Always keep the Attar bottles out of direct sunlight and away from heat, store Attar in a cool dark area. To help avoid staining any clothing or furnishings, best to wait for the oil to be relatively dry on the skin. All Attar Ingredients are Alcohol, Chemically & Cruelty-Free - Vegan & Environmentally Friendly. If stored correctly, an Attar's Perfume can last many years, becoming more potent over time.
