Ammas’s Ashta Lakshmi Attar Story: This spectacular one-of-a-kind Attar has been created and perfected over several decades by our Master Perfumer Roddajun Singtoh Dogon of Byron Bay, Australia. The fruit of this long creative process is a beautiful, sacred Attar dedicated with love to Goddess Lakshmi. This Attar represents all of Ashta Lakshmi’s 8 main Avatars and Names, fused into one natural perfume. Goddess Lakshmi is very close to Amma’s heart and venerated with great love in many of Amma’s pujas, meditations, and spiritual programs. Amma’s Ashta Lakshmi Attar is the third perfume created in Amma’s Divine Hindu Attar series, representing the Supreme Hindu Deities. This Attar is a limited edition and only a few bottles will be made. Several of the floral and botanical oil essences in this holy perfume took over 20 years to source globally, due to the rarity of the florals being used, and new bottles of this perfume may take many years to be produced again. The comforting, soft, and heavenly fragrance of the Attar will bring us even closer to our blessed Mother Amma, and to Goddess Lakshmi in all her spiritual forms.

Amma’s Ashta Lakshmi Attar Fragrance Profile: This Attar holds a very deep potency infused into a subtle, floral fragrance. This Attar holds a full 108 botanicals, the most floral and plant ingredients of all Amma’s Attars made to date. Applying to the skin, you will first notice a more resinous-like texture to the oil. This is due to the Attar being so concentrated, and the large volume of ingredients used in the creation process. Once on the skin, the initial fragrance is reminiscent of sweet, floral Devi Bhava, derived from the multitudes of exotic temple flowers. The Attar’s aroma will deepen with earthy and musky overtones of Tuberose, and be pervaded by Imperial Pink Lotus, which is Goddess Lakshmi’s signature flower. As the Attar perfume settles, Blue, White, and Yellow Lotuses along with Wild Roses of all species will radiate their delicate scents. A sweet soft embracing, amber-like scent will remain thereafter.

It took countless hours of experimentation and several years of research to perfect this fragrance. The process included daily Ashta Lakshmi pujas and rituals which helped to create the Attar’s pure, divine essence. Each of the natural ingredients used in this Attar is part of ancient and traditional Lakshmi puja ceremonies for Abundance. Such a gathering of powerful natural elements will help to bring us closer to the divine. An enchanting rose gold color was created in the curing of the Attar, which Lakshmi’s radiant skin tone is renowned for. What is an Attar Perfume? Attars are complex, highly concentrated 100% Natural Perfume Oil Fragrances made since very ancient times, originally from the Indian and Middle Eastern subcontinents. They consist of premium absolutes and essential oils and are always free of alcohol and synthetic chemicals found in commercial fragrances. Attars are known as very luxurious high-end perfumes, they often come in beautifully decorative tiny little bottles. Attars are usually more expensive than mass-produced perfumes due to the highest quality ingredients, and the intensive labour and skill involved in their creation. An Attar may deepen its fragrance with age.

How to use an Amma’s Attar? First, gently dab on the clean dry skin away from the eyes, and never rub oiled skin together as it bruises the Attars fragrance. Let the oil rest on the skin so the fragrance takes hold, this helps with the aroma process to its intended scent. For the best complete aromatic experience, apply the Attar oil to the skin creating three horizontal lines gently in a row. Very similar to Shiva’s Devotees applying their Tripundra on the skin, this helps to get all aspects of the natural Attars fragrance. To speed up the Attars oil drying time, very gently with a finger rub oil in a circular motion a few times. Attars often leave hints of oil residue on the skin.

Care - Safety & Storage: Please do not use if pregnant or lactating. Test on the skin first if there is a sensitivity concern. Always keep the Attar bottles out of direct sunlight and away from heat and store Attar in a cool dark area. To help avoid staining any clothing or furnishings, best to wait for the oil to be relatively dry on the skin. All Attar Ingredients are totally Alcohol, Chemically & Cruelty-Free, Vegan and Environmentally Friendly. If stored correctly, Attar's perfume can last many years, becoming more potent over time.
