“Look at the beauty of nature. Living harmoniously with nature will in itself bring happiness and contentment.” —Amma
‘Girija’ (pronounced “gIH-rEE-jah”) is a Sanskrit name for Goddess Parvati, wife of Shiva (‘Rudra’), whose tears of compassion for humanity were said to fall upon Earth, becoming the seeds that grew Rudraksha trees. Nurtured with love, the large, sacred Rudraksha bead in our Girija necklace, is imbued with the powerful vibrations of Amritapuri Ashram-grown Rudraksha trees. This main bead is beautifully framed on each side by tiny Rudraksha beads with silver caps and rose quartz beads. The necklace also features a hand-knotted design on an adjustable cord, for easy wear in a loose choker style.
Wearing Rudraksha beads can help one in attaining tranquility, peace of mind, focus and concentration. Rudraksha beads are also known to be good for creating your own cocoon of energy, acting as a protective shield from negative energies. Especially helpful during this time.
CARE: The Rudraksha and Sandalwood beads will gradually darken as they interact with natural skin oils, and the Rudraksha beads may also require periodic cleaning. To clean Rudraksha beads, first soak them in warm, soapy water overnight. Then scrub thoroughly with an extra-soft toothbrush, and allow to dry. To help preserve the rose quartz beads, avoid contact with hard and abrasive objects. Any tarnish on the silver caps can be polished with a soft polishing cloth.
