The Mahāmrtyuñjaya Yantra is said to be the abode of Lord Shiva. In Sanskrit, Mahāmrtyuñjaya means ‘mighty death-conquering,’ and one who worships this Yantra is blessed with a long and healthy life, wealth, happiness, good fortune, name and fame. This Yantra wards off evil effects, fear of death and ghosts, accidental death, and prolonged illness, for Shiva is the Lord of Healing. His blessings can avert an untimely death. This Yantra is worshipped by reciting the Rudra Sūkta and the Mahāmrtyuñjaya Mantra.
